New Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship Receives Huge Name Along the Hull
Odyssey of the Seas which is a new cruise ship under construction for Royal Caribbean has her huge name painted across the hull.
Everyone Will Know What Ship She Is!
The second Quantum-ultra class cruise ship has received her huge new name that has been painted on the hull. The Meyer Werft shipyard which is where the new Royal Caribbean cruise ship is under construction posted new photos of the ship with her completed name on the side.
The first letter “O” is especially big and even spreads beyond the shiny new light blue. The sdhipyard has said that the O alone measures 11.2 meters in height and the entire name actaully extends over the entire 87.4 meters along the ship. There is no way cruise ship spotters will strugle to find out what ship she is once in service!

Odyssey of the Seas Hull Name
Odyssey of the Seas will be the next new cruise ship to join the Royal Caribbean fleet but she is delayed due to these difficult times. The ship was originally scheduled to debut in November 2020 but will now be delivered in April 2021.
The ship will spend her inaugural season sailing the Eastern Mediterranean out of Civitavecchia, Italy. She will then arrive in the U.S. for the very first time in November 2021 and offer a range of Caribbean itineraries out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
She will be identical to her sister ship Spectrum of the Seas at 169,379 gross tons and a guest capacity of 4,246 at double occupancy. There will also be 1,551 international crew members.

Take a look at some construction photos of Odyssey of the Seas from July 2020. The ship will still need to be floated out of the dock for the outfitting phase to continue and then she will make her complex River Ems conveyance closer to delivery and sea trials.
