Carnival Cruise Ship to be Based from Baltimore After European Season
Carnival Legend will sail her most extensive European season ever before being based out of Baltimore, Maryland in 2021.
Carnival Legend to Sail Europe
The Spirit-class cruise ship will be sailing a bucket list European season in 2021 that includes visits to 58 ports across 21 countries including the Greek Isles, Iceland, Norway, and the Baltic.
The ship will then reposition to year-round cruises from Baltimore starting November 2021. She will replace the current Carnival Pride which will shift to Tampa, Florida.
Fred Stein, Carnival’s vice president of revenue, deployment and itinerary planning, said:
“For Carnival Legend, we’ve assembled our most diverse season ever with opportunities to visit an array of breathtaking sites across nearly two dozen countries, all combined with the one-of-a-kind vacation experience that Carnival is known for. It’s really the best way to see Europe.”
The Carnival cruise ship will reposition from Tampa to Barcelona with a 15-day transatlantic voyage departing on March 26, 2021. From Spain, the vessel will sail a range of different itineraries also from Dover, UK, and Civitavecchia, Italy.
On October 31, 2021, the ship will head back over the Atlantic from Barcelona to Baltimore including 14 port of calls. She will kick off year-round cruises from the east coast port on November 12, 2021, operating 7-day including calls Nassau, Freeport, the private destinations of Half Moon Cay or Princess Cays and Grand Turk.

Carnival Legend is 88,500 gross tons with a guest capacity of over 2,100 at double occupancy. The ship is currently based out of the Port of Tampa.
