Carnival Sensation Completes Dry Dock

The Carnival Sensation cruise ship operated by Miami-based Carnival Cruise Line has completed a two-week dry dock at the popular Grand Bahama Shipyard in Freeport, Bahamas. The Fantasy-class vessel is the first vessel int he fleet to under refurbishment in 2020.

The ship started her dry dock on January 6 and it was mainly just a routine upgrade rather than the major new makeovers we so often see these days. Carnival Cruise Line Ambassador John Heald posted “The ship has returned with an upgraded Main pool area. Bonsai Sushi Express. New Fun Shops and lots and lots of new carpets.”

During these types of refurbishments, it also provides plenty of time for essential maintenance and work on areas guests don’t usually get to see. A fresh coat of paint is often done along with general decor improvements and furnishings. More specific work is usually done to departments like in this case with the upgraded Fun Shops.
